How can I load JPEG files (*.JPEG) into the project? 1998-09-27
This person has an MFC style CImage object: http://web.ukonline.co.uk/Members/julian.smart/code.html It works, except it doesnt handle some of the jpegs, but most. I dont see a way to give it a buffer full of a jpeg (it wasnt the filename) though, but it should be easy enough to add. I think there is some magic you can do with MFC to fake a file as a memory object too

How do I Get a Timer? 1998-09-27
You could process WM_TIMER messages (OnTimer), and call the function or class from there.

Or, use the code accompanying my article "Encapsulating Windows Timers inMFC" published on VCDJ, Jan98 issue (http://www.vcdj.com, Articles and Code, Features department).
